-The student must simply have an interest in Psychology or    activities within H.E.L.P.

-Forms may be printed from the link above or can be picked up at the Psi Chi Office (rm 2236)

-Completed membership forms and the $5.00 yearly dues may be turned into the Psi Chi Office (rm 2236) or the Psi Chi mailbox (room 1126).

 -In order to join Psi Chi the student:
-3.2 Psychology GPA
-3.0 Overall GPA                                                          ·        -Completion of at least 9 Psychology credit hours**·          -Must be enrolled as a student at WVU and be at least a second-semester sophomore ·                                              -Must be enrolled as a major or minor in a Psychology Program                                                                       -One-time payment of initiation fees (Fee waivers are available if there is financial need)

*Graduate student admission criteria can be obtained from the faculty advisor or www.psichi.org.

**Undergraduate students who have transferred to WVU from another college and are interested in becoming a Psi Chi member must meet the requirements listed above, plus complete one semester at WVU to establish a GPA and complete 9 hours of Psychology courses at WVU.    

Advantages of Psi Chi:

  • Membership in Psi Chi meets one of the requirements for entrance at the GS-7 level in numerous professional and technical occupations in the United States government.
  • Membership is for life. The national registration fee is the only payment ever made to the national organization.
